The Clark County Coroner’s office has released the identities of three individuals who tragically lost their lives in a recent car accident on U.S. 93 near Las Vegas. According to county officials, the victims, Malia Hoenshell (29), Zaiden Grandon (9), and Phoenix Henley (3), were all residents of Henderson. Their deaths have been attributed to blunt force injuries and were ruled accidental.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, with reports of the crash coming in around 1:47 a.m. The collision took place at mile marker 59 on U.S. 93, approximately 13 miles north of Apex, Nevada. Preliminary investigations suggest that a 2022 Hyundai Tucson, traveling northbound, veered into the southbound lane for reasons unknown at this time. This maneuver resulted in a car accident with a 2017 Freightliner tractor and trailer traveling southbound on U.S. 93.
