In a devastating incident, two lives were lost in the early hours of Saturday following a crash in East Valley. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police swiftly responded to the scene at the intersection of North Lamb Boulevard and East Bonanza Road around 4:12 a.m.

Surveillance footage unveiled the sequence of events, indicating a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado speeding northbound on Lamb, while a 2004 Toyota Scion XB entered the intersection with a green traffic signal on Bonanza. The Chevrolet, allegedly running a solid red signal, collided with the Toyota’s passenger side, resulting in both drivers being ejected.

Emergency services arrived promptly, but the 60-year-old male Toyota driver was deemed beyond medical intervention and pronounced dead at the scene. The 17-year-old male Chevrolet driver, transported to the University Medical Center Trauma Center, succumbed to injuries and was pronounced dead.

Sgt. Richmond from LVMPD’s Fatal Detail stated that speed was the primary factor in the collision, with suspicion of impairment.
