Tragic Car Accident in North Las Vegas Claims One Life and Leaves Three Critically Injured
(FOX5) – A devastating car accident unfolded in North Las Vegas on Monday night, resulting in one fatality and leaving three individuals critically injured. Responding to the scene near Camino Al Norte, just south of Lone Mountain Road, officers from the North Las Vegas Police Department discovered a collision involving two vehicles: a white 2016 Honda Civic and a gray 2022 Kia Forte.
The driver of the Honda Civic, identified as a female in her 20s, tragically lost her life in the crash. She was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
The occupants of the Kia Forte, including the driver and two passengers, sustained critical injuries and were rushed to UMC Trauma for medical treatment. While one passenger’s injuries were deemed “non-life-threatening,” both the driver and another passenger remain in critical condition.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the Honda Civic veered onto the wrong side of the road, leading to a head-on collision with the Kia Forte. However, the reasons behind this tragic error remain unknown.
Despite ongoing investigations by the North Las Vegas police, authorities have ruled out speed and impairment as contributing factors in the crash.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased and determine the cause and manner of death.
